the "I'm away for Christmas, not dead" thread

First, this thread is not intending to make light of sydney at all. However, it is here because of what happened to sydney. When he wasn't posting for the few days after getting hit, I figured "well, he's probably just gone somewhere for thanksgiving." Unfortunately, that wasn't the case.
But now, I'm in Michigan for a couple of weeks during Christmas, with sporadic internet access. So, I won't be around BF very much. And while I'm not the regular-consistent poster that sydney was, I post pretty regularly, so people might notice that I've not been around.

So, this thread is intended to be a registry of sorts, for people who post regularly but expect to not be posting as much because they've gone somewhere for the holidays. Peace.

Good idea Tim - very thoughtful.

I'll likely be a pumpkin starting December 23rd through probably the New Year - visiting my sister and nephews.

Much love and respect to everyone on BikeForums.net - happy and safe holidays. You guys have been support and inspiration as I got back into cycling this year.

I've been in semi-lurk, semi-non-viewing mode for a couple months now. I'm cool, everything is cool, and I'm just hanging out. Hope everyone is having a safe and festive Holiday season, see you all around the corner...

You can all rest easy. I will only be gone from the internet for about 48 hours. Then i will be back posting all sorts of mindless nonsense. (Lord willing.)

I like your idea. Now, please don't let anything happen to you while you are away. Have a great Christmas and New year.

I'll be going to Iowa in a couple of days, but in my line of work, there has been no real vacation (which is why I'm going to require my staff this next year to take at least 2 weeks away from the office without access to the office--poor folks are overworked) since I'm in leadership and a crisis is always right around the corner, so I'll have my laptop with me. Free wireless is always close at hand at the local Panera Bread Company. I'll probably post or at least read.
