same here. I think mine is from 1986 though. I also have a pyramid that I cut the duel head off of and put a Silca disc head on. Now it works pretty good too.

I have a Joe Blow deluxe that I've had for about 6-7 years I think, and a Joe Blow pro that I bought for my girlfriend before we lived together, so now we've got two.

The pro is definitely flashier, and perhaps a bit sturdier, but I usually use the deluxe out of habit and it's just as good for less money- it also has the hook to hold the hose during storage on the front side, rather than on the back like on the pro which I find annoying. Can't say I've ever used the "blow off" valve on the pro either- why would I overinflate when there's a gauge right in my face?

Edit- just checked the website. Apparently there's no such thing as a "joe blow deluxe" anymore. The pro is good. Carry on.

Also- the Twister. Digital gauge making it the "most advanced floor pump in the world" yeah. OK. If only it came in CF. Wonder what the premium is for a digital gauge!

I'd like to get a well-designed and durable pump that would give me the same sort of durable service the Zefal classic did. I'm not afraid to spend good money for a quality item.

Anybody have any recommendations for or against any floor pumps out there?

Thanks!

The Zefal Double Shot is great; i've used mine for decades. When the valve went i wrote direct to Zefal in France, they sent a new valve & hose for free. It had the new model valve you just slide the cover to change from Presta to Schrader.

Specialized Pro bike pump. Smart head, long hose, smooth action. My shop has destroyed lesser pumps in less than a month, this one is over a year and still going strong. Good weight to it too. Excellent pump. And you can buy replacement parts. (if you ever need it)

Zefal Doubleshot: 20 years & going strong is a good run, & the parts can be ordered, maybe even domestically now. To counteract the light weight i epoxied a lot of lead bits into the base. That's the only weakness of the pump IMO.

It is apparent that it is not leaking from this point at all. It's farther up.

I just got Topeaks phone number..We'll see how they react and how fast.
Update.

I looked for their phone number online (800-213-4561) but also found a weird website from the company that owns Topeak called Todson https://www.todson.com/support/index....=knowledgebase
Seeing as it was Saturday I tried the website and figured that if I didn't get a reply on Monday I'd give the phone number a try.I got a reply early Monday and they told me in the reply that they were sending me the parts to fix it.I gave them my address when I joined the website so they already had my address.

The parts arrived to me within 10 days. They sent me a whole new gauge with the rubber gaskets on it.
Now that I see how it comes appart I realize that it was probably a problem with one of the gaskets.I went ahead and placed the new gauge in there with the new gaskets and no more problems.

Now that's customer service.
