HELP!!
This one is driving me and my local bike shop crazy!
Recently got myself a Giant Alias with Hayes Sole hydraulic disc brakes. And we can't seem to fix a really LOUD squealing coming from the rear brakes.
We've made sure everything is aligned and fitted as it should be, we've tried new pads - still squeals, tried new disc - still squeals, tried replacing BOTH pads and disc with a setup that works fine on another bike - still squeals!!
Doesn't really leave much - maybe something's not right with how they're fitted or the frame mounts?
Anyone got any ideas as to what could be the problem? And even better - what could be the solution?

Did you face the tabs? I wind up having to face the tabs on alot of bikes my shop sells due to the brakes either not working, not aligning or suqeeling. If that doesnt work upgrade your brake. Hayes pads are well known for being able to slide around and shift in the caliper under load.

Pardon my ignorance, but what does 'face the tabs' mean? MY LBS guys are very competant, and I'm sure they've done everything that should be done, but this is my first experience with discs (first experience with ANY brakes, actually).
And the bike is only 4 weeks old (Giant Alias) - I would've hoped the brakes would've lasted a bit longer than that before having to upgrade.
