Shimano Chain pins in a Campy Chain??

Anyone ever tried running a Shimano 10 spd pin in a Campy Chain. I know the mfg's say its a no no but I was wondering if anyone has tried it. I have a Campy Record chain in the shop and the Campy Super link is on back order till next week. I was wondering if its possible or are the holes in the chain in which the pins slide into too small on the Campy chain?

I might see if the Shimano pin fits in the Campy chain pin hole tomorrow just for grins (I have a spare link or two).

Please let me know if you've tried it.
