campagnolo nuovo record hub dust seals

track hubs, though I'm sure it doesn't matter...
should they just pop out? unscrew?
I'm having trouble getting them off, and it's a pain trying to clean the cups out with the seal on...
but i don't want to pry at them if they should come off in a different way

Pry them off very carefully. Place a piece of wood on the part of the hub away from the section you are going to pry off. Carefully place a screw driver in on the cup and use the wood as a fulcrum to pry the cup out. don't do it in one move but rotate the lever arm and move the cup slowly out. Take your time and don't use a lot of force because you can bend the inside of the cup. I just rebuilt a set of large flange hubs and rumoved all the cups to clean them without leaving a mark on the cups.

yah they just pop out but it is a pain and they bend easily and i have never found it necessary..
i get them 100% clean just by wadding a rag in there
remember you'll have to press them back in as well.. evenly.. without going too far and rubbing on the bearings.. another pain...

if you really must you can maybe try one of these sealed bearing pullers if prying proves too difficult:
