rear drop out screws...how far in?
I have a bare bones frame and had to order the little screws (axel stops?) that limit the distance the axel drops into the rear dropouts. My question is, how far should the axel go into the dropouts? Or, how far should I screw the little screws into the dropouts? I'm guessing the axel should not drop all the way into the dropouts, hence the little screws, but how far? Halfway? Quarterway?
Thanks

Mount the wheel in the frame how you want it (well into the dropouts with the brake pads correctly aligned on the rim & with the tire centered between the chainstays & seatstays), then screw the screws into the dropouts 'till they stop. Now whenever you reinstall the wheel, you can just drop it into place without having to re-center, etc.
