Maintenance intervals

I've purchased a Spec. Sequoia Elite, and I've put 700 miles on it so far, and I've been wondering what I should be doing regarding scheduled maintenance. What should I be doing regarding checking the tires, chain, tubes, wheels etc? I know what needs to be done(for the most part), but I'm not sure as to when it should be done.

For commuting:
I overhaul hubs every 3 months. Chain removed and cleaned every 6 months. Cables every year. Other stuff visual inspection.
