I Did A Terrible Bottom Bracket Thing....
I was taking apart a Crescent, the BB in particular. It's an old one, seems like what is now a BMX BB shell size, it's friggin huge. It's a three piece, but an old one with cotter pin type things on the arms. There is a piece that threads into the BB shell, and then a piece that threads into that piece. I found a 3 piece that had a BB that could fit inside of the outer piece on this bike, and tried to take out the old middle piece, and stripped the outter one.
So now I'm in a bad spot- first of all this is probably confusing because I dont neccessarily know how to describe the story-and secondly, I don't know the name of the crank. I went to a shop to see if they had one, to which the gentleman said he "hadnt seen one of those in ten years".
If anyone can help me out- I need to know how to size this thing so I can try to find one on Ebay or something- or perhaps just give up on the frame.
If more info is neccessary, let me know.
Thanks

Oh yeah-this is info I already have:
Its a crescent frame with a crazy swedish name "Vard" something, but it has american sizing, not metric.
The shell is 3 1/2" or somewhere between 63-64 mm.
The BB opening is about 1 13/16".
Cool
