Campy Compatibility Question

Just picked up a pair of Veloce 9 speed shifters for $60 (CAD) for a new build.
Found these wheels on CL.
https://vancouver.craigslist.org/bik/226301407.html
Would I be able to update the rear to 9 speed to go with my shifters?
Thanks

Bikes: All 70s and 80s, only steel.

If not, I might be willing to buy them off you. Check out my thread on campy cassette compatibility.

Check out my response on this post https://www.bikeforums.net/bicycle-mechanics/240047-easy-campy-cassette-question.html It can be done but on the Record it isn't exactly cheap. Call up your LBS and see if they can get the parts first. Campy cassette bodies come with new pawls and springs. Basically, they should charge you labor for rebuilding the hub plus the price of the cassette body. Figure out the cost of the wheels plus the conversion cost. Then, get a price on a new wheel or at least using your rim with a new hub and spokes. If the price is the same or close, I would buy a new wheel and sell the Record hub on ebay to defray the cost of the build. Good luck

I'm not going to bother with wheels. Trying to work out all the compatibility issues with Campy, I think I'll just build up the Shimano hub I have and get a Shiftmate.
Thanks
