Shimano 3 speed maintenance

I have just aquired a Schwinn Collegiate with a 3 speed Shimano hub. There is no oiler like the old Sturmey Archer had, do you just lay the bike on it's side and drip some motor oil into the hub ?

Also when replacing the rear wheel, do you put the trigger in #2 and adjust the bell crank to "N" to assure proper alignment?

run oil through the axle after you've removed the bell crank and the shift push rod.
You are right on the money on how to adjust the three speed.
