Hi Folks,

I have a Truvativ IsoFlow crank (48/38/28). I'd like to find 36t and 26t chainrings for it but I can't seem to find any on the net. Does anyone know where to find Truvativ chainrings in these sizes that would work on my crank? Are there other brands that would work and are available in these sizes?

TA Alize rings are available from Peter White Cycles and Sheldon Brown. The Alize rings are beautifully machined aluminum alloy, and are ramped and pinned to work in a Shimano or other 130 BCD triple crankset. The teeth are thicker than Shimano's chainrings and I found it necessary to do some filing on the backside ot the tips of the teeth to make the shifting ideal. TA Specialties is a well established French company. They make several other chainrings and cranksets for various applications.

edit: If your crankset is 130mm BCD, the smallest possible middle chainring is a 38. You can get the 26 inner ring in 74mm BCD. TA does have Zephyr 110BCD triple cranksets and chainrings in smaller sizes. Not sure what you have but at least some Isoflow cranksets are 110/74 BCD, the TA Zephyr chainrings should fit those, check with Peter White or Sheldon Brown.

You have to determine the Bolt Circle Diameter (BCD) of your chainset, it will be on of the current standards. You could check out the Truvatriv website for info.
Any chainring of the same BCD will fit.
TA are very fine rings made of extra tough metal that are used by professional riders, tourists and other long distance riders. Any other ring will fit as well but note that the ramps and pins are often matched between the rings for optimum shifting.

www.cambriabike.com has Truvativ chainrings. I don't know if they have what you're looking for. I have had very good luck buying from them as well as having parts ordered. Pat

Sugino alloy rings are made iin several BCDs and sizes. You can get them from any bike shop that sources parts from Quality Bicycle Parts.

I actually have Alize rings from Peter White on my road bike. They were the only ones I could find in the sizes I wanted for my Campy crank. They work very well. I'm looking for rings for my commuter bike which is an 8 speed Shimano/Sram/Truvativ. I didn't think Truvativ rings in 26 and 36 would be so hard to find on the web. I think I'll visit my LBS. Maybe I'll have better luck. (Sugino perhaps).

No Truvativ rings in those sizes, but any brand with the right BCD will work.

When my 36 died I replaced it with a Trutiv Hussfeldt 38. I don't notice a huge difference. A 38 shouldn't be hard to find, and they are cheap too.
