Cost of hub installation?
I bought a sturmey-archer 3-speed srf3 hub and I need to have it installed. I don't know how much this should or will cost. it is 36 spoke, my current wheel is 40, does that mean a new wheel and rim? What should I expect as far as turn around time? Any other advice?

Yeah. You're going to need a new rim and spokes. Parts and labor I wouldn't look for much change from $100.00 and it could run even higher.

Basic rim, probably around $30-40 or so, spokes, proably $.75-1.25 a piece, so say $30, then, labor. My shop for a wheel build is $40. So yeah, like Retro Grouch said, about $100. As far as turn around time, it really depends. They may need to cut the spokes, order the rim and what not, so you there is no way to tell unless you go in and ask
