newbie: signs of good tire mounting?

hello all,
newbie q.
i have just changed my first set of tubes and tires.
after all the horror storries of gunshot blowouts standing in rooms.. and even worse.. blowout failures while riding.. i am definitely in fear of my tire changing job.
here's the deal: i changed my tire about four days ago. i've ridden about just 1/2 mile on them once (only cuz i had a fall that one time and am in recovery now). anyhow.. main question: if they haven't blown out so far.. does that mean i've changed them proper? i've maintained the psi at about 100. is there still a chance i could have a pinch that will arise once i've ridden them more or at a higher speed? they are 25X700 slicks on 19mm rims.
cheers!

Most tires have a ridge on the sidewall near the bead. If that ridge is equidistant from the rim all the way around on both sides, you shyould be OK.

+1 just spin the wheels fast and see that the tire doesn't have any wobble in it. If you've gotten this far, you likely don't have a problem.

If you want to be Very sure when you're mounting the tires, inflate to about 8psi, remove the pump, and check around the rim on both sides. You push the tire bead away from the rim wall and confirm that you don't see any tube obscuring the rim tape -- on both sides. If you have a clear view of the rim tape all the way around, you won't have any problems (except for the rare case of a poorly matche rim/tire size combo).
