Upgrading Gary Fisher Marlin fork

Upgrading Gary Fisher Marlin fork- I have a 2003 GF Marlin with the Manitou Six fork. Is there a compatibility chart or something that I can use to see what forks fit on this bike? I am looking for several steps up in quality. Thanks in advance.
