are ceramic brake pads any good to aluminum rims?

is there an advantage in using ceramic brake pads on alum rims or is it not compatible at all? thanks for the reply.

Pads made for ceramic brake surfaces will eat an aluminum brake surface up in a short time, do NOT use them-
