cable guide HELP
okay, so i have seen a similar thread, but am still confused on this. i just got a caad 8 without a cable guide. there is a small hole that is not threaded under the bb. i got the shimano cable guide, but if i put it in place where the screw goes through, it is way off of center.

essentially i need this piece with the screw thing flipped to the other side. either that or cannondale makes some proprietary thing? i really don't know. any help would be appreciated.
thanks

yeah, i definately have it right. (i thought i had it wrong at first, so not insulting at all
.) i think it may be a cannondale proproitary thing. i just found a picture of the bottom of a cannondale and it has a special cable guide on the bottom. frustrating that such a dumb little piece causes so much trouble.

When I needed one I contacted Cannondale directly, and they wouldn't sell me one. They told me that I would have to get one at my LBS. When I went to my LBS, they didn't have any in stock, and so I had to wait while they ordered it from....Cannondale.
Geez.
Anyway, they cost about $5.00. Order 2 so you have a spare.

You can use a Shimano guide with a little work. The hole is not threaded so you have to use a flathead nut and bend it to fit the curvature of the BB shell.
