Older Campy -- double to triple

I have a mid-90s Campy Chorus group with brifters and 8-speed cassette. How difficult would it be to convert to a triple crank? I ride the hills a lot and I am not getting any younger!

You'll need a triple compatible left brifter, a triple front deraiileur and a longer spindle bottom bracket to go along with the triple crankset. Not as cheap as you'd like, I'm sure.

Might be easier to go with a compact, but you'd still probably end up having to buy a new BB. The FD you could probably get away without swapping, but it won't shift quite as well.
