Help - Ksyrium Elite Broke Spoke

A crash today left me with a sevelely bent spoke on my rear Ksyrium Elite (left side). The rim appears okay (except for the out of trueness, of course). How do these spokes work? The nipple appears to be slightly further back into the rim then the others. Is my rim gone, or can I just replace this spoke? I just have a bit of concern about the "recessed" nipple. Hope something didn't break loose in there and allow it to move around more freely than it's supposed to... The cyclist who hit me offered to pay for any damages. What's the protocol with an accident??

The replacement spoke will come with the nipple. You will need the Mavic nipple tool to install it. If anything a crash would yank the nipple out of the rim, so I don't think it appearing further in is from this crash.
