Which FD with road crank & mtb grip shifters?
I hate the Shimano flat bar road shifters. They seem to get in the way of my fingers when I'm holding the bars. So off they went. I had a new pair of SRAM Attack grip shifters that I've put on. The rear shifts fine since it's a mountain cassette. The front is OK in in the smallest 2 front chainrings, but it if I shift all the way over to the big ring and the index shows 3 in the window, I can throw the chain right off. I'm not sure this is a limit screw issue, seems more like an actuation issue. Not sure if there is a FD that will work being controlled by grip shifters on a road triple crank.
Here's what I've got:
Crank: 30/42/52
FD: R443a
Shifters: SRAM Attack (previously Shimano SL-R660 for flat-bar)
Thx

Sounds like the high limit screw needs to be adjusted so that the cage doesn't move out quite so far when shifting to the big ring.

Swap the FD for a MTB unit, anything that is compatible with the shifter.
It will work fine with the road cranks; I have an XT (w/ XT shifters) running with a 7703 Dura Ace crank and it works great.
