Handle bar and Grip question

Mos def a nubbie question but anyway.... I am swaping out road bars for either flats or risers and obviously need grips. I planed on just ordering a pair of BMX grips online but I am not sure if there is a size requirement for grips and bars. My bars are 25.4.

Thanks

Most mountain bike, and probably BMX, grips fit a 25.4 bar. Oversized bars are oversized where the stem clamps them, not at the ends where the grips are.
