Cleaning?

What is the best way to clean all of the parts of an old 3 speed hub?

I prefer mineral spirits for all general bike cleaning - no matter what type of bike it is. If you are going to disassemble the hub, you might also consider a couple cans (or three) of brake cleaner. I don't recommend it for cleaning a bike while all the parts are together, since it can invade and weaken hub grease. You don't want to wash that out unless you intend to.

This is, by far, the best site for messing around with 3-speed SA hubs.
