Join Date: Oct 2007 I have a Fuji Absolute flatbar road bike. I have purchased a Syntace C2 Clip Aerobar. My main purpose in the aerobar is to give an alternate hand and posture position on long rides. I have already decided I want brake levers on the aerobar. Is it possible to use the aeroshifter from Syntace(a downtube index lever type shifter) in combination with the trigger shifter on the flatbars? How do the index shifters function? For example how do you shift down with the single lever for each chainring or casette gear/are the levers bidirectional? I guess I am asking for a definition of index shifters.
Thanks.
