rear wheel won't spin
I have a beater, single-speed winter bike. The rear wheel no longer moves when I pedal - the pedals and the chain move, but the wheel doesn't. The wheel will turn if I just spin it by hand. I replaced the ball bearings in the hub, but that didn't help. I don't want to put a lot of money into this bike. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

Making a kilometer blurry
I'd flood the freewheel with WD-40. I think the pawls are rusted open. Does it make the clicking sound when you coast the wheel forward?

I would just replace the freewheel. You could flood it with lube, and it may work again for a while, but you may get stuck with it not working somewhere out in the cold. Single speed freewheels aren't too expensive and are easy to change out.
