Barrel Adjuster size?

I am putting together a 2005 Specialized Allez Elite. I received the frame completely naked, nothing with it (other than the RD hanger). I need to get a set of barrel adjusters for the downtube, but am not sure of the size. The threads look good, I just need to know what size threads into them. From a quick search, it looks like they come from 5-10mm sizes. Does anyone know what size I need to pick up?

Can not help you with the size but I had a similar issue on a frame and solved it with barrel adjusters that go into the brifters where the shift cables come in. Works very well and only were about $10 at the LBS.

Not sure of the size but when you get the barrell adjuster cable stops kit it comes with the proper mounting screws. It's a standard size for most frames, almost universal for anything remotely new.

Thanks capwater, that is helpful. My STI shifters are coming with cables, so I guess I'll wait to see what's in the box with them.

If your STI shifter set is complete, it will come with a pair of downtube cable housing stops with built in adjusters. The fit right over standard downtube shifter bosses and include the mounting screws.
