Major squeak
2007 Roubaix Elite. Triple with a 12-27 cassette. When heavy climbing in 30T front-27T back and two adjacent cassette cogs, there is a major high pitched squeak. Sounds like chalk on a blackboard. Yuk!!
Chain is lubed. Is it the bottom bracket? Is it the chain rubbing on the 39T chainwheel? It's very annoying. What the heck is causing it?

Sounds like the tire or rim is rubbing on something, maybe the brake pads? Chain rub would be more like a ripple or series of clanks.
Have someone ride behind and alongside you to check. It can be difficult to tell where a noise is coming from when you're stuck in one spot (i.e. the saddle).
