ticking frame question

My alum pro frame frame is making a ticking sound when i pedal. More pronounced on the climbs out of the saddle. it seemed to stop for a bit but is back. I do not see any cracks. BB is not very old. Pedals are fine i think. Anyone had this problem before? i know some guys with other frames that had the same prob and there was nothing mechanical to find.

Clicking noises can be caused by dozens of things, but you mention that the BB is not very old.
Was it replaced recently? Is it a cartridge? Did the person who installed it smear some anti-seize on it before putting it in?
If it's OK, I'd check the crankarms to make sure they're tight, and maybe try smearing a light coating of grease on the bar where the stem clamps it.

Try searching the forum. This is an extremely common question and has been beaten to death on a weekly basis. In a nutshell, noises can come from several different sources (bb, cranks, chainrings, pedals, cleats).

Also check to see if your shoelace nibs are "ticking" the frame as you peddle.

You many find the following links helpful in tracking it down:

https://sheldonbrown.com/creaks.html

AND

https://www.parktool.com/repair/readhowto.asp?id=123

It's usually just a matter of patiently removing, cleaning,
re-lubricating, and re-torquing fasteners until it quiets down.
