Installing SRAM Force gear on a flat bar bike

Hi,

I've got a 2007 Gary Fisher Mendota, which I've driven for a couple of thousand miles. I've been thinkin about installing road bike gear shifters, derailleurs, crankset and cassette on it.

Specs for the last year Mendota: https://www.fisherbikes.com/archive/model/323/fullspecs

This is what I've got now:
SRAM X.5 Shifters
SRAM X.7 Rear derailleur
Shimano Deore Front derailleur
Shimano Octalink Triple Crank (28/38/48)
SRAM PG950 Cassette (11-26)

This is what I've been thinking to install:
Double Tap 10 Flat bar road shifters
SRAM Force Front Derailleur
SRAM Force Rear Derailleur
SRAM Force Crankset + BB (34/50)
OG-1070 Cassette (11-28)

Tell me, should I expect any major difficulties during this or will it be rather simple? I haven't done this before, but as I am getting most of the SRAM Force gear except the flat bar shifters very cheap I would like to go for this.

The only question is will the 50T chain ring clear the left chain stay?

I'm certain it will. It's the right chainstay I'd be concerned about.

To the OP: Add a 10-speed chain to your list.

Thanks for pointing it out. The 50T cannot be that much different than the 48T chain ring I've got now. But if I figured it out correctly, the 50T chain ring might hit the chain stay because it's closer to the frame when using double crankset, correct?

But other than that you wouldn't expect any major problems?

OK, you all got me in a hazy moment. The 50T may not be too much bigger then a 48T, but you're also going to a double from a triple, hence the large ring will be closer to the right chain stay.
