Bottom bracket / Crank issues? Not sure what's up.
I've got a Raleigh Sprite 10 speed, it's a 74 I think. For a while, it's had this issue where there is a little squeak when I'm pedaling. It always happens when the left side crank is at 12 o clock. Whatever the issue is hadn't really manifested itself any further, so I mostly just ignored it. Yesterday, however, I rode it 20 miles and I noticed something new. Every so often, I'd feel a little bump from my right crank at that same 12 o clock point. When it happened, it would happen for a few cranks in a row, and then it would go away for the next several miles. I noticed no equivalent sensation from the right side crank.
I'm not exactly sure what the issue could be. I might try tearing it apart later, but as of yet, I'm not even sure if I have the tools I need for the job, so I figured I'd ask here, where people are more knowledgeable than myself, and see if anyone recognizes what's going on.
If anyone needs any further information, let me know.
