Rim swap
Hi all,
I bent my rear rim this week (and then snapped a spoke in my spare rear wheel). Oh dear. I'm looking to replace the rear rim only, and keep the spokes. The current rim is a 17mm deep Rigida Chrina. Unfortunately, Rigida has no distribution in the USA, so I won't be able to get a direct replacement. Can I replace it with another rim of similar depth? Would a Mavic Open Pro or Velocity Razor work? I'm looking for a simple box section rim. I'd buy another Rigida if I could, because they have been great. I'd prefer to work with my LBS, but are there any other options I should be aware of?
Thanks!

If your plan it to save the spokes you'll have to find another rim with the exact same ERD as the Rigida.
Frankly, rebuilding a wheel is enough work that it seems like a false economy to me limit your rim selections to what matches your spokes. I'd decide what rim I wanted and buy new spokes to match.
