Freddy Fenders

I was going to install planet bike freddy fenders on my moms new hybrid. The fenders are 700 x 45 but the wheel size is 700 x 40. I looked on planet bikes website and it says up to a 700x35 tire. Will it be a problem if the tire size is larger? Do any companies make a 50mm width fender?

As long as there is tire clearance, they don't interfere with the brakes, and they cover most of the tire, the fenders should work fine.

The only "problem" with fenders narrower than recommended is that they won't cover the tire enough to knock down all of the road spray.
