Rear Cassettes
I currently have a 8 speed cassette in the rear. Was wondering if I would be able to put a 9 speed cassette would fix on the rear hub? I am a IT engineer. So i am not very good with bicycle components.

A 9-speed cassette will go on an 8-speed hub. But 8-speed indexed shifters will not index with the 9-speed cassette. You'll need 9-speed shifters.
