Question about removing old paint
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to remove paint from metal while keeping stickers under the paint intact? I bought an old Worksman trike that still has many of the original decals and stickers on the frame - I noticed this as I began to take a thick layer of yellow paint off the surface. I'd really like to try and remove the paint while leaving the stickers intact - any ideas? Everything I try seems to damage the stickers as well. If I can figure out how to post pics, I'll put one of of the chain guard. It's a perfect example.
Thanks,
Thanks,

In my opinion, you are shooting for the wrong approach.
I recently saw a posting referring someone to a member here who can generate reproduction decals, if you supply photos of the decals with dimensions. I don't recall who it was.

Oh wow - well, in that case I'd still have to be able to get the old paint off to see the original stickers. The paint over is so thick I didn't even know there were stickers beneath it! If you look at the front tube where the stem slides in, there's actually a Worksman Logo under there, but until I started sanding lightly with some steel wool, I didn't even see it!
