Anyone now how to find cheap bike decals. I mean the decals they put on cheap bikes, Next, Huffy and such. I want to go covert on my new bike and thought I'd try this out. Thanks

I don't know if you could get the actual decals from the likes of Huffy, Next, et al. but you could try contacting them I suppose and say you've repainted your frame and still want to proudly display their logos (would be hard to believe personally but I suppose stranger things happen out there). Or you could find someone that does custom graphics and have them make some decals for you, then you could come up with your own disguise brand...POS in a nice font might be cool.

Why not look for logos online and make them yourself on decal stock with an ink-jet printer. You're not looking for perfection, your just looking to fool a would be thief.

Yeah, all the cheap bike companies make it hard to contact them. I guess they want you to take it back to WalMart instead.

Maybe contact a company who does graphics on cars - they probably have or know someone who has a decal cutter and can make you something for a price.

FWIW, I had a single speed city bike I had made for myself using an old 10 speed frame, a re-spaced freewheel hub, goofy upright handlebars, a single left gripshifter not connected to anything, a craptacular rattlecan paintjob, and the word 'RUSTY' up the side in white vinyl letters.

It was locked up in front of my apartment building and was STOLEN by some dirtbag.
Looking back, I am kinda glad I didn't catch the guy who took it because the bike was not worth going to jail over.

There is an old joke: "If you are in the woods with your friend and you are being chased by a bear, you don't have to outrun the bear - you just have to outrun your friend."
The corollary as it applies to bicycles is: "your bike does not need to be impossible to steal, just less attractive to thieves than the one next to it" ... either considerably more difficult to steal, or cheaper or uglier or in worse condition. If your bike is still reasonably shiny or has decent parts or a suspension fork then I suspect thieves pay no attention to the sticker on the frame.

You could do one on an inkjet printer and then clear coat over them so they don't run in the rain. You could also have a decal store, or maybe even a place like Kinkos do them for you from a .jpg file.

You can design your own decals and have them made by an online signmaker for $.15 a letter like I did.
