Compatability - Ultegra 9 speed/10 speed crankset
I currently have a 10 speed Ultegra setup on my road bike. Is it possible to make a Shimano Ultegra 6500 Crankset compatible with a ten speed system by upgrading with 10 speed chain rings (53/39)?
The Shimano 6500 crankset is originally compatible with Octalink bottom brackets and 9 speed drive trains.
Thanks for your help.
Steve

Try your crank with the current chainrings first. The difference between 9 and 10-speed cranks is very small.
