104/68 triple crank replacement question

I'm helping a friend of mine who has a Trek 7700 hybrid style bike. It currently has a 4 arm style crankset. The bike was converted to a single speed by it's last owner and the conversion was done by replacing the cassette with a single speed cog and some spacers. The last owner used the middle chainring and left the other chainrings unused.

I'd like to convert it to a 1x9 for him. I have a set of Sugino RD single speed cranks with a 48t chainring that I plan on using for this conversion. I've got a new BB that will allow the Sugino cranks to have the same chainline of the original cranks middle chainring.

That being said do you think a 48t chainring will clear the chainstay with the new cranks and BB? If not, does anyone know of a mfg that makes smaller single speed chainrings without ramps?
