Cannondale lefty fork

Is it possible to put a Lefty on another brand of bike such as a Trek or Giant? I blew the seals on the fork of my Giant Warp DS2 and need a new fork. I would love to have the Lefty to save some weight since the Giant weighs 50Lbs it seems like.

I suppose assuming the head tube is the proper size and you have the adaptor.

I've seen 1-1/8" steer tube adapters for lefties on ebay.
I would doubt it would be warranted. Really, an engineer could better answer if it is an issue.
If it were me, I'd go with a deep seated steel head set if I were doing it. And check religiously for any sign of a crack on he headtube.

It's even funnier when you consider it's a Giant Warp. The parts would cost more than a replacement bike.

Let me correct that to, "Yes, it can be done...No, it's not a good idea." Better?
