Murphy's Law says you'll end up stripping the threads or something, and needing to spend money getting it repaired. Why? Because you felt like it.
Yes I was, and there was a reason. My crank bearings have been cleaned in.. Oh 5 years? So it may not be broke now, but I would also like to keep it that way.

is what that sounds like.
Are you unable to take a joke? I never even mentioned anyone giving me anything. And the fact that people on here are nice enough to help others with [stupid] questions is a great thing. Especially since they could have read this thread and said, "wow, what a ***" and left. So you "interpretting" my speech is really not necesary. And I happen to take a lot of pride in my computer so don't bring her into this.

it is very hard to convey sarcasm and jokes across the internet without the use of smiley faces

In that case you're going to need not only the crank extractor, but also a bottom bracket tool to open up the BB and access the bearings.

You did state in your other thread that you just "felt like" removing the cranks though.

I did, I admit, and then I actually thought about it since it was worth either money or time.

Dude, even WITH the right tool it will take all your effort to remove it. No way in heck without it.

My 2c, FWIW.
