How to correct a stiff link in your chain.

The pedal was advancing upon standing on the pedals...When the pedal stroke is not smooth, it is caused by a stiff link..
Using my chain cleaning kit, I took chain cleaner and ran it through the wash unit...Seemed to help some..Not perfect. Should cleaning the chain get rid of the chain skip?

if you have a park chain tool, insert the stiff link on the thicker slot, it will loosen the stiff link
