Campagnolo triple bottom bracket spindle length
I'm going to put a Campagnolo Centaur triple on my bike, which currently has a 111 mm Veloce BB. The Centaur triple instructions call for a 111 mm BB when the seat tube is 28.6mm, and a 115.5 mm BB for 32 mm and up.
I have a 28.6 seat tube, but all the Campy clamp-on derailleurs are for 32 mm seat tubes and up. Shimming out my seat tube to fit a 32 mm clamp is certainly possible, but then it seems like I'd need a 115.5 mm BB. Is this true? Any suggestions? I've been thinking either a braze-on FD with a 28.6 clamp or a 9-speed Mirage 28.6 FD (since I have 09 shifters with FD ratcheting shifting, I'm assuming I can mix-and-match parts).
Thanks,
Daniel

Use one of these with a braze-on FD.

If you have '09 shifters. I'd stick with an '09 FD. The older FD might work, but perhaps no perfectly.
The number of clicks from the left finger lever and the maximum cable pull has been reduced. Older shifters had 12 clicks and it took 7 to operate a triple FD. The new shifters only have 6 clicks. I measured the cable pull and those 6 clicks do have at least as much travel as the previous 7, so there is certainly enough cable travel to operate a triple.
