Probably, I don't see how that's any different than a normal setup with a claw type derailleur as long as you have the plate or some sort of mechanism that prevents the R.D from rotation along where it clamps.

i think its more possible for it to give out. ALso I have a 1/2 130bcd chain ring that I need to replace. Can I put a 3/32 in there?

Using a used chain can be worse than pushing your bike. New chain and - unless nice, shiny, and new- the old cassette is a fool's errand. They skip and put themselves where you need a screwdriver to retrieve on the road.
Please take the time to learn these things before you haphazardly start working on your bike. I'm very glad you are here and asking questions!

I have built my share of wild bikes from parts found and scavenged. And will again. The difference between us is: My intent from finish-to-start and so forth is to have them work properly. I give you fair advice. You attack.

well, when its 1:00 a.m I can't go to the store and buy a derailer cable, or a new chain. Also, the fact that My chain tool is totally screwed, sorry i offended u panther.
