converting flat handlebars to dropped handlebars
At the start of the year bought a sceond hand Fausto Coppi framed road bike with flat handlebars from my local bike shop. I used the bike to complete my first ever triathlon back in June. I have since had the desire to replace the flat handlebars with dropped handlebars and was hoping to get some input and information on how best to undertake such a task and the cost of such a modification.
I have already done some searching of the web in order to find a comprehensive guide, unfortunately I have found very limited examples on how to make such a modification. I would appreciated any help anyone can offer on this topic.

I am assuming that anything with Coppi's name on it was originally a drop bar racer to begin with. What does the bike have for shifters right now? Is it a traditional threaded headset with a quill stem, or is it a more modern threadless system? The answers to these questions will help us guide you.
