reynolds propriatery brake not for carbon fork
EDIT: blah title should say "NUT" and not "not"
ok so i have a reynolds carbon fork but no brake nut
i went to my LBS to get a regular recessed brake nut which did indeed fit the bolt on the caliper and was the right length to go through the fork except the diameter of the nut was too large to fit in the hole of the fork.
I emailed Reynolds for the proper nut and they told me that there is one on their site. Well I checked and found this; which i am guessing is the correct one:
https://www.reynoldscycling.com/index...em&p_itm_pk=45
It's $7, so i thought ok I can swallow that. I add it to card to find out its $10 for shipping (more than the part itself) and there I lost it. Seemed a bit outrageous for me to pay $17 dollars for a nut...not a bolt and nut...just a nut.
With that said, does anyone know from similar experience or whatnot if any bike shops/retailers/websites carry this same nut? Again the nut has a smaller outer diameter than most of these type nuts so it is not to be confused with any regular one.

That's pitiful - but I hope you have more than one LBS. Get on the phone - or even have the one you went to order you one. I'll bet their total cost to you will be less than $17.
