Kick Shift 2 Speed

I am looking for information about a two speed kick shift transmission that utilized the bottom bracket for changing gears....

Don't know what kind of info you're looking for, but the Glenn Moore repair manual I've got has a whole chapter on Bendix two-speed kick back hubs. There were two generations. He has exploded views and step-by-step disassembly/reassembly instructions. What to look for, components to inspect, that kind of stuff. Might be worth grabbing an old copy.

Bikes: Rustbuckets, the lot of them.

I believe Schlumpf is the only game in town that does the transmission at the bottom bracket end.

If you go back far enough Sunbeam in England did one too as did several other British and French makers pre WW1.

I thought I had read that SRAM had announced something along this line too.

They did. It's called Hammershmidt. Two speed, and it freewheels. Can only be mounted on bottom brackets with ICG mounting tabs. Basically for extreme off road.
