Convert 9 Speed Ergo to 8 Speed
The reason I ask is because I'm looking for some 8 speed ergos to use on a 7 speed.
I've read that if you need 8 speed ergos the one thing you can do is convert 9 speed ergos to 8 speed. The part you need is # EC-R060. If this is done will the spacing still be the same?
Thanks

I think you have the wrong part number. You need to replace EC-RE052 on an 9-speed shifter with EC-RE013 from an 8 speed shifter. 8 speed shifters pull quite a bit more cable per shift than 9 speed.

Doing the Shimagnolo thing?
I gather you already have some 9spd Ergolevers... why not convert the 7spd Shimano hub to 8spd?
