Kool Stop brake pad orientation
I'm replacing DA pads with Koolstops and if you look at the pads it appears to me that the "Wiper" tip should be oriented on the leading edge of the shoe but that would require reversing the shoes.
Doesn't conventional wisdom say that the leading edge of the pads should be toe'd in a mm or so?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You are correct on toein. The pad is either a slipin that slides into the DA holder,
in which case arrows on the pad friction side (against the rim) should point to the rear of the bike according to the diagrams on the www.koolstop,com website. Or the pad comes with the mount as well and there should be an arrow on the pad holder that points in the direction the bike is moving. These are opposite so be sure you keep
track of which is which. Steve

The long edge is to the back. Toe in is 2mm.
I really like the red, low carbon pads. Better for wet, but wear faster.
