oil for cycle-ops fluid2

I got a used cycle-ops fluid2 unit that was opened and some oil was spilled out. I contacted cycle-ops and they won't tell me what oil to replace it with, just that I can only send it to them for service and refilling, and that it would cost me $65. Does anybody know if I can do something myself? A couple of shops told me I can use transition fluid. Is that true?
