Tube/tire and quick release hub question
I have a couple questions. My bike came with 700c x 35 tires on it. I put some Panaracer Pasela 700c x 28 tires on it. I noticed the tubes were for 35 size tires. Am i too far off to use the 35 tubes with my 32 tires? i did get them blown up to pressure with no issues, but will i run into issues during use? I wish the LBS mentioned i might need new tubes to match the tires after i told them i was switching.
Also, this is my first quick release hub bike, how tight does it need to be? obviously too tight is probably wrong, i got it so it to me is between just barely snug and a medium prusse to engauge.

I use 700 x 28-35 tubes in 28 tires. No problems.
Quick release should leave an imprint in your hand after you close it.

If you have them up to pressure with no issues and the tube went into the tire without folds or creases there is nothing to worry about at all. Sizing vs. labeling is so unpredictable that the only thing one can say for sure is if it works it's OK.

It is important to get the quick release tight for two reasons. One is safety. The other is that the final bearing adjustment is made when you close the QR. The hollow axle will compress about .1 to .2mm and affect the bearing preload.

Thanks guys. When i have to deal with tubes, My procedure is to coat it and the inside of the tire with baby powder to keep the two from sticking together. I then inflate at about half level and deflate a couple of times then fill up fully. This my seem like alot of overkill to some, but it spawns from working with tubes in drag racing tires. It tends to make sure there are no folds left in the tube when inflated to the final pressure.
Also thanks for the tips on the hub release, i will go check them before my next ride.
