Broken spoke on rear Mavic Ksyrium ES drive side
I've had my pair of Mavic Ksyrium ES's for 2 seasons with no problems, no needed truing. This past weekend while descending a bumpy road the one red spoke on the rear drive side broke on the flange side of the spoke.
I've had conflicting advice on doing it local, or sending it back to Mavic for spoke replacement and re-tensioning. What would you guys recommend?

A good local wheel builder should be able to re-tension the wheel as well as Mavic. Esoteric rim with less than 32h will always have a much higher risk of broken spoke since the individual spoke must be subjected to higher peak load when you hit a pot hole.
