Control Mini 4 hand pump

maybe Im slow, but I seriously can not get my Control Mini 4 hand pump to do.... anything.... it doesnt fit on standard valve's and I cant figure out why....

Maybe this isnt the place for this, but if anyone has this pump, maybe I missed something in the package, but mine looks exactly like the link shows the picture, and I cant get this to fit on any valve...

What type valves do you have?

Schreader Valves
or
Presta

sorry should have included that.

Schrader valves is what I have (and mainly what Im concerned about as Ive been riding with pretty low tires the past 2 mornings...)

(though I have tried the pump on a 2nd bike Im keeping of a friends with presta valves and I cant get it to fit those, even though the description on pump says it should be adjustable to work with both).

You may have to switch the inside rubber insert over for each type of valve.
Then place the pump on the valve and pull up the lock handle, then pump.
