Shimano 600 Stem Handlebar Removal
Hello!
I was recently involved in an accident that bent my handlebars.
I have an old Shimano 600 Stem that I'm replacing the handlebar from..
However, I am unsure of what size hex key? I will need to loosen it up and slide the bars out.
My set of hex keys are waaay to short and I cannot properly gauge what elongated size key I will need to buy in order to reach down in there.
Anyone have any ideas of what size I need or tips on how to remove the handle bar?
Thanks!
- Matt

Peter White Cycles says 6mm for Dura Ace stems of the same style.
If it's not 6mm, I can't imagine it being anything but 5mm.
